Information conveyed to The Anguillian newspaper by the award-winning Frangipani Beach Resort states that it is hoping to be one of the first hotels in Anguilla where its employees will receive COVID-19 vaccinations.
On Friday, January 29, the resort invited the newspaper to witness the registration of two of its workers for the vaccine which will be available in Anguilla this month. Candice Richardson and Jevon Hughes were photographed being registered by the Manager of the resort, Mr. Scott Kircher, and his wife, Mrs. Shannon Kircher. They accessed the Health Authority’s Beat COVID registration site via a laptop.
The resort issued the following information to The Anguillian: “We held a meeting with staff to share more details on the upcoming vaccination distribution, and provided registration assistance for all staff to help everyone get registered. About 80% of our staff registered with assistance – and we’ve offered to help any family members to get vaccinated as well.
“The Ministry of Health will be joining us on Monday, February 1, 2021, to answer any outstanding questions, and to inspect the resort for an immunisation site to administer the vaccines as soon as they’re available to hospitality workers. We hope to be amongst the first vaccinated on the hospitality front and feel that vaccinations are critical for the island’s tourism.”
Other hotels in Anguilla are similarly arranging the registration of their employees.
