The Royal Anguilla Police Force organised a special farewell ceremony for Commissioner Mr. Paul Morrison on Friday, January 22, the date of his departure.
The farewell march-past and drill display was arranged to take place on the main road adjacent to the Department of Lands and Survey, just down from The Valley Police Headquarters.
Commissioner Morrison served Anguilla for five years which involved two extensions of his contract. He was recruited from the United Kingdom and assumed duties as Commissioner of the Royal Anguilla Police Force on October 7, 2015. He had previously served as Chief Superintendent and Head of Operations with the Sussex Police.
Mr. Morrison will leave Anguilla on January 31.
He will be succeeded in Anguilla by Mr. David Lynch, another UK national, who is currently the Chief of Police in St. Helena – and will be completing his tenure there at the end of this month. Mr. Lynch is expected to take up his post in Anguilla early in February.
