Anguilla National Youth Council – 2020 Annual General Meeting and Elections

New Executive Body 2020-2022

On Thursday 26th November, 2020, the Anguilla National Youth Council (ANYC) hosted its Annual General Meeting and Election of the new and incoming members of the Executive Body for the Anguilla National Youth Council. The AGM and Elections were held at the Department of Youth and Culture Training Centre at the Fairplay Commercial Complex in the Valley.

An invitation was extended to all youth organisations across Anguilla, to be a part of the AGM and the election process. At the beginning of the AGM, the outgoing ANYC Executive body provided a comprehensive report for its tenure served (2018 – 2020). Mrs. Jocelyne Mills, Programme Officer – Youth Development, announced the names of the new elected Executive Body, voted in by representatives of member youth organisations.

Young people in attendance from the various youth organisations were encouraged to nominate members of the various youth organisation to contend for the various positions on the Executive Body. The Executive body of the Anguilla National Youth Council is the umbrella organisations for all the youth organisation on Anguilla.

The new executive members for the term (2020 – 2022):
President: Mr. Neil Gumbs
Vice President: Ms. Carina Richardson
Secretary: Ms. Alvanique Frank
Treasurer: Ms. Soya Williams
Assist. Sec/Treasurer: Mr. Jo’Ardie Richardson
Public Relation Officer: Ms. Sara-Lee Benjamin
Assistant Public Relation Officer: Mr. Devon Carter
Understudies for the President: Ms. Savannah Croft
Mr. Jo’Ardin Richardson

Understudies for the Vice President: Ms. Tandreka Letang

The Anguilla National Youth Council serves to protect the interests of all youth, youth groups, and affiliated organisations in Anguilla, and to advance and promote the general welfare and social progress of, not only the youth, but also the people of Anguilla. The Anguilla National Youth Council receives funding and support primarily from the Government of Anguilla, Department of Youth and Culture.
