The UWI Open Campus Anguilla Application Portals open for January 2021

As the University of The West Indies, (UWI ) Open Campus Anguilla prepares for the Graduation of its class of 2020, the general population, in particular school leavers and anyone interested in furthering their studies and skills, are reminded that the portals are open for applications for the January 2021 Semester.
Applications for undergraduate studies close 11th December, 2020 and for Graduate studies, 4th December, 2020. Persons can go to the website www.open.uwi.edu/admissions/apply-now to submit their applications.

In addition to persons who may want to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies, the UWI offers the opportunity for a special admission process that allows anyone to take a one off course with the university for their professional development or to have it later transferred to a degree programme or to another university.

For the more mature persons, who are interested in expanding on their knowledge, there is the Prior Learning Assessment. This option allows persons to gain admittance or credit based on their years of professional experience.

The UWI is also reminding persons of its Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) courses that run every semester. These courses include Conversational Spanish, Protocol and Diplomacy, Care for The Elderly, Early Childhood courses, Supervisory Management among others.

The UWI is committed to ensuring that all persons have an opportunity to access education. This is in keeping with part of UWI’s Mandate of ensuring that everyone can access education regardless of their stage or level in life. Manager of the UWI British Overseas Territories Open Campus Sites, Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks stated, “Education is a powerful tool and having access to it is essential. With the UWI, education is accessible in many forms. We have varying programmes catering to varying persons and their situations.”

Staff at the UWI Open Campus Anguilla are happy to be of assistance and encourage all interested persons to visit the UWI Open Campus Site in Pope Hill during the hours of 8:30a.m. and 5:00p.m. for more information about the offerings. Persons wishing to apply for the January 2021 semester can do so by going to the website www.open.uwi.edu/admissions/apply-now .
