The Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School had its fourth Student Council Installation ceremony on Monday 9th November 2020. It was held in the multipurpose room of the school. Invited guests included the Honourables Cardigan Connor and José Vanterpool, education officials, representatives of the Department of Youth and Culture, community members, parents and students of Adrian T. Hazell Primary School.

Prior to the ceremony, elections were held on Monday 26th October 2020. Students of grades three, four, five and six voted their top six choices for five positions. These positions were public relations officer, treasurer, secretary, vice president and president. In the end, the elected executive body included: Senaiya Richardson and Jaeron John of grades six and four respectively, in post of public relations officers; Samantha McCormack of grade five in the post of treasurer; Jaliyah Martin of grade six in the post of secretary; Emily Williams of grade six in the post of vice president and Tjivari Leveret-Francisca in the post of president. Seven students, one from each class, were also chosen as class representatives to support the Student Council’s executive body.

At the ceremony, the re-elected president, Tjivari Leveret-Francisca, spoke on behalf of the Student Council’s executive body. He announced three projects in which they will engage in the 2020-2021 school year. These projects include the completion of the Student Council room, the establishment of hall monitors and the development of the quadrangle with a playground for students. Thereafter, Pastor Artnel Richardson blessed the Student Council members.
