The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, Utilities, Housing and Tourism, in partnership with the U.K Maritime and Coastguard Agency, has successfully delivered training to a small cross section of Government employees. The training was specifically tailored to meet the dynamic and growing needs of the Maritime Industry in the areas of International Safety Management and Core Underpinning Knowledge for Maritime Surveyors – as well as gaining certification as an ISM Auditor.
Persons who completed the training are as follows:
Ms Sharmer Fleming *
Mr Jamil Harrigan
Mr Alrique Rogers
Mr Corvel Fleming
Mr Kendell Richardson
Mr Rawle Hazel
Mr Eversley Browne *
Mr Karim Hodge
“Training opportunities such as these are vital to the development of not only the maritime sector but the people of Anguilla. We are always happy to partner with the U.K. Government to enhance the safety and security of our people – and a key sector – as we continue to prepare for the upcoming International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Triple I Code audit,” said the Honorable Minister of Infrastructure, Mr. Haydn Hughes.

This training is part of the long-term goal for the Anguilla Maritime Administration, and Shipping Registry, to improve safety at every level of the maritime industry.
