October 1st, 2020 marked 24 years since local television and production entity Kreative Communications Network (KCNTV4) has been in operations here in Anguilla.
Approaching almost a quarter century of existence, for the most part, KCNTV4 was the only local television Channel, sharing Community information, Current Affairs, Sports, Documentaries and Entertainment on All Island Cable Network (now owned by Digicel Cable Network) and has been the sole representative for many years as the island’s Television media link to the Caribbean and further afield.
In the attainment of its 24th Anniversary, KCN’s Chief Executive Officer and owner Carlton Pickering Sr., said: “It is quite heartening to see the accomplishments and strides that we at KCNTV4 were able to attain. It has been incredibly challenging at times, especially following the aftermath of Hurricane IRMA which struck the island in September of 2017. However, with faith and the help of the Creator, the commitment and passion of our volunteer supporting staff, KCNTV4 has made it thus far.”
He further stated: “With the invent of new technologies and the ease of communication worldwide, new and exciting things are in store for KCNTV4 Anguilla, like Streaming on various Platforms. This is coupled with new exciting television programmes, along with regional authentic programming as well”.
Most recent, viewers can now view KCN Channel 4 on the Digicel PlayGo App, which allows them access and mobility 24 hours a day. Customers of Digicel only need to download the PlayGo App.
KCNTV4 has developed over the years, from a 15 minutes Pre-recorded Programme to a fully functional 24 hours self-sustained local channel, bringing to Anguilla authentic local and regional programming.
The flagship programmes that can be seen on KCNTV4 are “Anguilla Diary Magazine”, hosted by Rosanna Browne; “The Anthony Journal”, produced and hosted by Anthony Pickering; KCNTV4 Sports Report, hosted by Carl Thomas and Mervin Saunders with comments by Cardigan Connor; Caribbean Passport produced by JCD of Trinidad and Tobago; INDEPTH, hosted and produced by Andrew Bishop of St. Maarten; Let’s Talk Tobago presented by Tobago House of Assembly, Information Division, among others from time to time.
The management of KCN wishes to express, through this medium, its profound gratitude to its valuable Sponsors, past and present, for partnering with KCNTV4 over the years, its dedicated viewers and the public for their unwavering support and commitment to the local television entity – over the years – in the form of their comments and moral support.
The CEO stated that KCNTV4 will not be holding its annual award ceremony this year but will be focusing on plans for the 25th Anniversary in 2021.
The Supporting Staff at KCNTV4: Mrs. Rosanna Browne-Harrigan, Mr. Mervin Saunders, Mr. Colwayne Pickering, Mr. Carl Thomas, Mrs. Claudette Pickering and Mr. Cardigan Connor. Cheers! We have done it again!
