GESEL HODGE – TUTOR AT THE HOPE CENTRE

Ms. Gesel Hodge will be tutoring Language (primary and high school level) at HOPE (Helping our People Excel) Centre in Sandy Hill, Anguilla.

Gesel Hodge is a focused and ambitious individual whose inquisitive nature prompts her to employ creative thinking to devise innovative solutions to prevalent and underlying issues. This is one of the driving forces behind her desire to become a Development Economist and Policy Analyst.

As a proud Anguillian, she strives to hone her skills to be able to give back to the people of Anguilla. Her academic achievements to date include graduating as Valedictorian of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School (ALHCS) Class of 2014 – capturing the Best CSEC results with five subject awards from the said class. In 2015 and 2016, she achieved the Best CAPE results from the ALHCS sixth form cohort with four subject awards at her sixth form graduation. Additionally, in 2015 and 2016, she made the CXC Merit List for attaining the tenth and fifth highest grades respectively in the entire Caribbean for CAPE Law. She is also the recipient of the Dame Bernice Lake QC Memorial Award and the Anguilla Island Scholarship. In July 2020, she completed her BSc (Hons) in International Business, Finance and Economics at the University of Manchester and has received acceptance for the MSc Development Economics and Policy programme at the same institution.

Ms. Gesel Hodge

Gesel is passionate about language learning. Thus far, she has achieved B2 Level Spanish and plans to go on to achieve the highest level, C2.

She is the Assistant Manager of What We Do In Anguilla, Co-Manager of Quest Experiences, and the Deputy Chair of Inspire Community Group.

HOPE Ltd. is a non-profit organisation that seeks to develop and enrich the physical, emotional and spiritual being of our community, and particularly of children and young people, through mentorship, education, the arts, sports and spiritualism.
