APPOINTMENTS TO THE ANGUILLA YOUTH BUSINESS FOUNDATION

On Thursday 10th September, 2020 the Honourable Minister of Social Development and Education – Ms. DeeAnn Kentish-Rogers hosted an Appointment Ceremony for the members of the Anguilla Youth Business Foundation (AYBF) at La Vue Boutique Inn.

The Anguilla Youth Business Foundation (AYBF) is a business service organisation established by the Department of Youth and Culture (DYC) and the Anguilla National Youth Council (ANYC), under the Anguilla Foundation Act, to provide business development and support services to young people residing in Anguilla.

Government officials, existing and incoming members

The incoming members of the Anguilla Youth Business Foundation are: – Mr. Clemvio Hodge who will serve as the Chairman of the Foundation, Ms. Avon Carty, Mrs. Twyla Richardson-Thomas, Mrs. Shirmaine Lynch Harrigan, Mr. Bren Romney and Ms. Karen Pina. Existing members: – Mr. Neil Gumbs, Mr. Cleve Whyte, Ms, Annishka Whyte, Mrs. Althea Hodge, Ms. Sherma Hodge and Mr. Timothy Hodge will continue to serve for another term. Mrs. Joleyne Robin-Williams was re-appointed as the Coordinator of the Foundation and Ms. Toniquewah Ruan was appointed as the Recording Secretary. Ms. Heather Richardson will continue to provide Enterprise Development Services.

The Honourable Minister of Social Development and Education, Ms. Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers during her remarks, expressed her appreciation to all of the members for their willingness to serve and create business opportunities for young people in Anguilla.

Incoming Chairman Mr. Clemvio Hodge who is the Manager of What We Do in Anguilla and a Tutor at the HOPE Centre and Blowing Point Development Centre, expressed his enthusiasm to get started and work along with the other members of the Foundation.

The Honourable Minister of Economic Development, Commerce, and Information Technology & Natural Resources – Mr. Kyle Hodge served as Chairman of the Foundation from 2017-2019. He was recognised for his service along with outgoing members Dr. Ronya Foy-Connor who served as Deputy Chairperson and Chair of the Mentorship Committee and Ms. Kemoloy Murphy who served as the Recording Secretary. The Anguilla Youth Business Foundation comprises of 15 members and who will serve for a term of two years.
