On the afternoon of Friday, July 24th, Ms. Shirley Bryan was caught by surprise when a contingent of Digicel’s staff converged at her workplace in Blowing Point to delightfully present her with Digicel’s coveted Grand Prize of EC$13,500.
According to Digicel’s Senior Marketing Executive, Ms. Roxanne Webster, “Out of twenty-two participating markets, Digicel Anguilla was selected to reward one lucky customer with this magnificent Grand Prize.”

She continued: Digicel prepaid, H&E and postpaid customers with active eligible plans would have shaken their phone via the “Shake It” mechanism in the MyDigicel App. Of the eligible customers, a top-ten phone shakers report was submitted to the Digicel Anguilla Marketing Department. Subsequently, each of the ten customers was screened to verify credit history and customer loyalty. Via this screening process, the Grand Prize winner was selected.” The winner turned out to be Ms. Shirley Bryan, who works as a custodian at the Blowing Point Youth Development Centre.

Ms. Webster further stated: “The Digicel team is ecstatic that the Anguilla Market has finally been selected for the Regional Grand Prize. Over the past few months, our local Digicel Staffers kept their ears to the ground hoping and praying that the regional prize would make its way to our shores. Witnessing firsthand the financial environment of the island at this time, the Digicel Anguilla team agrees unanimously that this reward could not have come at a better time for our lucky customer.

All of the Digicel team members were elated over Shirley’s winning as a loyal customer. They each showed an air of pride and joy as they jubilantly congratulated her. Asked how she felt about her lucky winning, Shirley responded: “I feel so wonderful about winning today. I am inviting everybody to ‘do a shake’ for Digicel. Digicel is worth it, and they are the best. I have to thank my friend Natalie, because it is she who encouraged me to go pay my bill and shake to win.”

Ms. Webster finally said: “The team is genuinely happy to see one of their loyal customers receive some financial relief during these unprecedented times.” “So much so,” she explained, “that the team closed the local Digicel offices in order that the staff could celebrate with our lucky customer.”

The Anguillian congratulates Shirley for being so fortunate as the lucky Digicel Grand Prize Winner.
