The Royal Anguilla Police Force is pleased to report that there were no reported cases of serious incidents for the various emancipation celebrations held during the first week of August. However, there was one incident involving the use of a knife in which one male suffered a minor injury. The victim was treated and discharged from the Princess Alexandria Hospital and the offender arrested.
During the course of the week’s events, a number of stop and search operations were carried out by members of the Royal Anguilla Police Force which resulted in a number of offensive weapons being confiscated. These includeD knives, hammer, machete and scissors.
The Royal Anguilla Police Force would like to thank the majority of the members of the public, and the organisers of the various events, for their responsible behaviour and the cooperation with the officers throughout the events.
