The Ministry of Health notes all residents being repatriated to Anguilla are required to quarantine for at least 14 days after their arrival to Anguilla pursuant to the Public Health (Quarantine) Regulations and the Quarantine (COVID -19) Rules 2020. This 14-day period cannot and will not be reduced based on current regulations in force.

Quarantine is a process by which persons who may have been exposed to a disease but who have no symptoms of the disease are kept away from other people until the incubation period of the disease has passed. Quarantine measures help to protect the public by preventing exposure to people who have or may have a contagious disease. Persons on quarantine are routinely monitored. During the repatriation process, persons may quarantine at home or at a government facility based on a risk assessment and a home inspection completed by the Ministry of Health.

The general public is hereby advised that if persons are not compliant with these measures, the Ministry of Health and the Royal Anguilla Police Force will be forced to pursue more stringent measures as permissible under the law. This will include the transfer of non-compliant individuals to a government facility, if such individuals are in self-quarantine, or alternatively to Her Majesty’s Prison West if non-compliant individuals are already at a government facility, or in self quarantine, but are proving extremely difficult to be managed. The current regulations also provide for the imposition of significant fines and penalties on all persons who are in breach of them.

Members of the public may assist the Ministry of Health by reporting any alleged non-compliance to these measures through the COVID-19 hotline. The numbers are 1-264-476-7627 or 476 SOAP or 1-264-584-4263, that is 584-HAND.
The Ministry will continue to provide timely updates through our media partners, our official Facebook page and the beatcovid19.ai website.
