DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH AND CULTURE STAFF CELEBRATES GOD’S LOVE

Staff of the Department of Youth & Culture

On Monday morning, February 10th, the staff of the Department of Youth and Culture, led by its Director, Ms. Avon Carty, held a breakfast staff meeting to acknowledge the love of God and to reflect on their love and respect for each other.

Though it was just a secluded low-keyed event, where staff members, for the most part, brought out their own homemade breakfast platters, it was in keeping with the “week of love” with Valentine’s Day falling on Friday, February 14th.

In speaking to The Anguillian, the Department’s Director, Ms. Carty said: “Today, we have decided to piggyback on the upcoming Valentine’s Day theme of love — as we celebrate God’s love for ourselves and our appreciation for each other. We are doing so by partaking of this sumptuous breakfast. We have condensed the length of our regular Monday morning briefing just to have some time to fellowship among ourselves over breakfast.”

She mentioned that such jovial mingling around the conference table — turned breakfast table — would serve to provide them with great camaraderie and positive energy.
