As the organization closed off another successful year of initiatives, Taizdaze Charity’s representatives made their way around the island to give back to both the youths and elders.
On Monday, December 16, 2019, representatives of Taizdaze Charity’s executive board made a donation of stationery to Zenaida Haven.
Earlier this year, Zenaida Haven – Juvenile Residential Centre commemorated ten years of existence under the theme, “Limitations live only in our minds; the possibilities are endless!”
The Centre has allowed young men to get back into school and sit Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Exam – many of which were successful in doing so. After seeing the refreshing outlook on life held by these young men, members of the organization were compelled to make this donation to assist with their development. The young men were applauded for making efforts to pursue a brighter future and were urged to stay focused.
For the second consecutive year, representatives of Taizdaze Charity spent the last Saturday of the year, visiting elders at the four senior citizens homes on island. The staff at each home was presented with a box of toiletries.
Though Taizdaze Charity is a youth-based organization, it has committed to carrying out at least one initiative each year that directly benefits the elderly. Its goal is to emphasize the importance and appreciation of the hard work exhibited by elders – thus paving the way for the youth.
These donations were made possible because of the generosity of the following individuals/businesses:
Jahmaykan Flavours, Daryl Richardson, Nakishma Hull, Pamela Fahie, Britne Levon, Emma Heredia, Anguilla National Youth Council, Glenneva Hodge, Leonicia Richardson, Anthea Roach, Aneisha Lake, Ivory Crump, Tamisha Rogers, Monisha Rogers-Huggins, Gwenneth Johnson and Taydra Fahie.
