A book entitled Favour & Increase, heavily-laced with Biblical promises and guidance for mankind, and a source of spiritual comfort in times of discouragement and hopelessness, is now in circulation in Anguilla.
It was written by Cambridge University scholar, Counselling Psychologist, Head of the Counselling Department of the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School, and Overseer of the Church of God of Prophecy, Dr. Samuel Daniel. The eight-chapter book was launched at the Ballroom of CuisinArt’s Golf Resort and
Spa on Sunday, December 8, in an atmosphere of formality and beauty – and with a sizeable audience in attendance.
“The notion of Favour & Increase came to me at a time when, generally, things seemed bleak and courage was at an all-time low,” Bishop Daniel said in his remarks almost at the end of the programme. “It was a few weeks following our Hurricane Irma experience in Anguilla. I believe that this was a time when every leader, counsellor and parent, in fact any person with a sense of responsibility, was grappling with their thoughts….about those persons in their care.”
He explained that the book also originated from a series of messages he had delivered in his church, and that it was “heavily-laced with Scripture providing support for the principles for meeting God’s conditions for favour and increase.”
In the Foreword to the book, Apostle Dr. Allan S. Isaac of Amazon. com, wrote in part: “Dr. Samuel Daniel strikes a chord of excitement in his book, Favour & Increase. In a world that is filled with so much chaos, the people of God must stand out because they have hope of a better world which exists outside the parameters and influence of the evil system of the world.
“This book, Favour & Increase, should bring a level of tremendous excitement to all believers. Those who are outside of the family of God should know that all is not lost as there are provisions made for their redemption. God has given us 7,487 promises in His word, which will come to pass in our lives, as we are obedient to Him and His word, and also as we step out in faith.”
The Foreword was read by Mrs. Tracelyn Hamilton of the Department of Education, and portions of the book were read by Ms. Marilyn Bartlett-Richardson, a long-time member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
The book was ably reviewed by Senior Magistrate, Ms Invenia Benjamin, a private book publisher in Anguilla, who had high praise for Dr. Daniel’s writing and urged members of the public to purchase and read the book.
Just before the signing and selling of the book, two members of the audience, Ms. Pamela Riley and Ms. Karen Richardson, won two raffles which entitled each of them to a free book presented by the author, Dr Samuel Daniel.
