Anguilla Cancer Society Receives Breast Prosthetics From Mrs & Mr. Grubman Representatives of Knitted Knockers Support Foundation
On Wednesday 11th December, 2019 at Klass FM Radio Station during a radio programme with DJ Hammer, the Anguilla Cancer Society received a donation of 37 (thirty seven) Knitted Knockers Breast prosthetics from Mrs. Lenore and Dr. Jerry Grubman representatives of Knitted Knockers Support Foundation.
According to the foundation, when people are “fighting cancer sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference”. Mrs. Grubman explained during the radio interview that these breast prosthetics called Knitted Knockers are soft, comfortable handcrafted breast forms made with love by volunteers for women who have had mastectomies. These breast prosthetics are lighter, easier to wash and clean, and can be used even when swimming at the beach. In fact their shape and look are quite similar to the actual breast.

The knitted Knockers Support Foundation is a 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization that is run by volunteers. The primary focus is the free distribution of handcrafted breast prosthesis to breast cancer survivors to improve their quality of life. Mrs. Grubman a retired nurse and Dr. Grubman a retired doctor have lived lives of serving others. The couple promised on returning to the United States they will work on getting more donations for the people of Anguilla. When the Anguilla Cancer Society reached out to Mrs. Grubman via Facebook to assist the people of Anguilla it was a surprised to find out that the couple has been coming to Anguilla ( what she calls paradise) for the past 20 years. The Grubmans were recent guests at beautiful Belmond Cap Juluca.

The Anguilla Cancer Society would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. DJ Hammer for hosting the radio programme and Mrs. And Dr. Grubman representatives of Knitted Knockers Support Foundation for their present and future contributions to the people of Anguilla. All persons in need of Knitted Knockers breast prosthetics please contact the Anguilla Cancer Society at telephone number 235-8282 or 235-3436.
