On Monday 28th October 2019, the RAPF met with members of the Board for S.A.F.E (Stop Abuse For Everyone). SAFE was established as a supportive mechanism to assist survivors of abuse, to build individual knowledge of available services for victims of abuse, to enhance networking among service providers and to advocate for the elimination of domestic violence. The organization which was founded by Jade Richardson seeks to provide support for victims of abuse by having available trained personnel to comfort and direct victims to relevant providers. Service providers FLOW and DIGICEL are providing the dedicated communication platform so that victims can be reached. The RAPF’s role in this collaborative effort would be to ensure that where cases of Domestic Violence are referred the offenders are brought before the court so that justice can be had for victims. THE RAPF is happy to partner with SAFE in this initiative to ensure that the victims of Domestic violence are protected. This initiative should be online before this year ends.
