As the 2020 general district election and the at large elections approach, the governing Anguilla United Front has announced its candidates in the following press release, dated October 22, 2019:
The General Council Council of AnguillaUnited Front (AUF) at its meeting held on Monday October 21st 2019, has has approved a full slate of candidates for the 2020 General Elections.The 90 delegates in attendance ratified the following persons for the districts:
District 1 – Mr Oris Smith
District 2 – Mrs Cora Richardson Hodge
District 3 – Mr Evans Mc Niel Rogers
District 4 – Mr Victor F Banks
District 5 – Mrs Evalie Bradley
District 6 – Mr Curtis Richardson
District 7 – Mr Cardigan Connor
Of the six persons who applied to be Candidates at Large, the General Council ratified the four selected by the Selection Committee. The four selected and ratified are:
Mr Jose Vanterpool
Mr Lockhart Hughes
Mr Mark Romney andand
Mr Othlyn Vanterpool
The official launch for the AUF will be held on November 16 2019, in front front of the English Rose restaurant. It is anticipated that the launch will feature a number of local acts and speeches by alll the AUF Candidates.
