The Certificate in Internal Auditing which caters to practicing and aspiring auditors, focuses on equipping participants with the skills to detect and prevent fraud, test internal controls, and monitor compliance with policy and procedures and government regulations.
The Advanced Certificate in Leadership for Sustainable Development is a postgraduate programme developed and delivered in collaboration with the UWI Institute for Sustainable Development and the Empire State College of the State University of New York (SUNY). This online programme targets public and private sector managers, persons engaged in work with environmental and community-related NGOs; leaders and middle managers in the civil service.
The Certificate in Health Care Management and the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Research and Epidemiology are for those in health care delivery and administration, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, nutritionists/dieticians, physiotherapists, veterinary surgeons, and other health care providers or allied health professionals. The Health Care Management Certificate is offered locally, while the Postgraduate Diploma, which is the first year of the Masters programme in Health Research and Epidemiology, is offered online.
The Introduction to Family Law is a local face-to-face course that may be of interest to participants who have a legal background, those who engage or have engaged in social work or those with a general interest in family-related issues. Topics include the legal rights and responsibilities of parents, domestic violence in the region, the dissolution of marriage, women’s role in relationships, within families and communities and the inheritance rights of surviving spouses and children.
