The Anguilla Social Security Board continues to show recognition and respect for our golden age citizens, who have paved the way for us, and who are fortunate to attain the age of 100 plus and counting. On Thursday, 22nd August 2019, the Board observed the 102nd birthday of Mrs. Colmita Hughes of South Hill. She was born on 22nd August 1917.
In keeping with its recognition programme for centenarians, the Board’s Deputy Director, Dr. Maglan Lewis, and Public Relations Officer, Rosanna Browne, visited Mrs. Hughes and her family and presented her with a personalized card and a monetary gift of a cheque for EC$500.00.
The Social Security Board congratulated Mrs. Hughes on the important milestone of her 102nd birthday. The Board made the following expression to Mrs. Hughes: “Your commitment and devotion to Anguilla over the years have not gone unnoticed. Today, we are sending you a portion of the love you gave to us over the years. Happy 102 Colmita!”
