Demolishing hurricane
damaged buildings at ATHPS

In our last update, we reported that contracts for Orealia Kelly Primary and refurbishing Campus B had been signed. We are delighted to report that work on both projects started shortly after contracts was signed and it is progressing well.
Notices have now issued inviting bids for a number of other projects.

At Princess Alexandra Hospital bids are requested for a new storage facility and significant reconstruction and strengthening work to the hospital. Ms Maeza Demis-Adams, CEO of the Health Authority said: “this is another positive step toward the HAA and the staff at PAH being able to provide our patients with high levels of health care in a modern, safe, building.”

Additional storage space at the Post Office. Post-Master General, Jacqueline Bryan-Niles, said she was … “very happy that the invitation to bid has issued and I look forward to the work starting. The extra storage space we plan to have in place to cope with the Christmas rush will enable the Post Office to provide a better service for our valued customers.”

In addition, bids have been requested for the total reconstruction of Morris Vanterpool Primary School in the East End and for replacing the roof at the House of Assembly. Invitation notices should issue this coming week for work at Adrian T Hazell and Valley Primary School. As you can see from the picture, demolition work of the hurricane-damaged buildings at Adrian T Hazell has already begun.
