Education personnel and Executive Members of Four Seasons Anguilla

It was a fabulous back-to-school celebration at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla on Friday, August 23 when the six primary schools of Anguilla received new books and school supplies through the resort’s Books & Bins project.
At the private luncheon, Four Seasons Resort Manager Billy Cueto welcomed Chief Education Officer Bren Romney; Susan Smith, Education Officer Primary and Pre-primary; and the principals from the primary schools. Jaimee Connor, Events Coordinator for Four Seasons shared an overview of the history of the Give Back initiatives by Four Seasons and explained the new Books & Bins program.
Earlier this summer, guests participated in packing bins with a variety of school supplies including crayons, #2 pencils, pens, wide-rule notebooks, wall decals, teaching charts, dry erase markers, glue sticks, rulers, index cards, construction paper, and more.
Guests also purchased more than 300 books from an extensive list of requested books on the students/teachers “wish lists.” The online registry will remain open all year as needed books and other supplies will continually be added and shipped to Anguilla: http://bit.ly/AnguillaBooksandBins.
In total, approximately 1400 children will benefit from more than $8000 worth of school supplies and books.
In addition to the books and supplies, each school received a 2’ x 3’ keepsake display featuring handwritten notes of encouraging words from guests and employees of Four Seasons wishing the students a productive and happy school year.

“We hope these supplies, books, and notes will bring a smile to the students of Anguilla,” stated Jose Adames, General Manager, Four Seasons Anguilla. “It warms my heart to see the outpouring of generosity and to know that our Books & Bins initiative is benefiting the youth of Anguilla. We hope the students have a wonderful school year.”
