The 2018 MVP was in sizzling form in the Sunset Homes AFA Female Football League last weekend. Adrianna Connor scored 5 goals as the resurging Youngsters crushed the struggling Gazelles by a score of 9 goals to nil. It was one – nil at half time, but Adrianna scored 3 goals in 3 minutes early in the second half to open the floodgates for De Youngsters. Also scoring for De Youngsters were Careyana Richardson, Reba Stott and Tyneeka Woodley. Adrianna was named player of the game for her excellent work in the attack.

In the second encounter, Lil Soldiers also withstood initial pressure from Superstars to hold them to a nil all draw at half time, but when Carlia Johnson latched on to a superb pass from Coco to score early in the second half, the walls came tumbling down for the Soldiers. Keturah Caines was spectacular as the Soldiers goal, saving shots from all angles, but Carlia and Coco, each scored a hat-trick while Carla Gumbs added 1 to make it Superstars – 7 , Lil Soldiers – nil at the final whistle. Keturah was adjudged MVP for her outstanding performance in the goal. The first round concludes on Wednesday and the second commences with a double header at 5:00 pm.

IT’S THE BIG ONE. It’s the battle of the undefeated. It’s the battle of the stars, Its Super Stars vs Shining Stars. Then at 7:00 pm the second round commences when Gazelles and Lil Soldiers go toe to toe. Action then continues on Sunday with another double header. At 4:00 pm in the first match, Shining Stars and De Youngsters will square off, then at 6:00 pm, in the second game, Gazelles and Super Stars would battle each other.

QUESTIONS????????
Which stars will shine brighter on Wednesday? Will we have a stalemate or a checkmate after Wednesday? Can the champions get back into the race? Will Gazelles or Lil Soldiers win their first game?

IT’S FOOTBALL!!!!!!!
FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!! FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!
