The Anguilla Public Service (APS) Employee Recognition Committee hosted its 5th annual Awards Ceremony on Thursday, June 27th 2019 at the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Hall.
The Awards ceremony is a service-wide formal recognition programme that recognises significant accomplishments by employees to encourage workplace excellence as well as to enhance the well-being of the Anguilla Public Service (APS). It was initiated in 2014 under the remit of the former Deputy Governor; Mr. Stanley E. Reid, and then Governor, Ms. Christina Scott.
The welcome and vote of thanks were given by Mrs. Tracelyn Hamilton, Invocation by Pastor Rondy Isles, Motivational Speech by Mr. Stanley Reid and Presentation of Awards, and Deputy Governor’s Address, by Mr. Perin Bradley.
The 2019 award winners were:
• Above and Beyond the Call of Duty – The Energy Efficiency’s Sub-Committee – Infrastructure led by Claudius Gumbs
• Outstanding Customer Service – Mrs. Luisa Dada-Gumbs – Immigration
• Collaboration – The Energy Efficiency’s Sub-Committee led by Claudius Gumbs
• Anguilla Public Service Image – Mrs. Ornette Edwards-Gumbs – Deputy Director Human Resource Manager
• Inspirational Leadership – Mrs. Ornette Edwards-Gumbs – Deputy Director Human Resource Manager
• Public Servant of the Year – Ms. Ingrid Fullington – Prison Tutor
