1st Place men- Uprising
2nd Place men- Takers

The long awaited and much anticipated clash between the Takers and Uprising, resulted in a straight forward “beat down” of the former, with a score of 25-8; 25-17 and 25-15. Uprising’s middle hitting was on fire, as 6’ 7” Ricardo “Ghost” Gumbs pillaged the Takers defense, at times pulling three blockers to defend against him. He was ably supported by Daren Webster, Deron Mitchel, Lester Connor and Ian Connor. Ian “Tucker” Connor pulled some tricks out of his book as he would catch the defense flat footed with quick “dinks” and monstrous blocking.

It was evident “Takers” were not ready for the force known as Uprising. Their serving, passing and hitting were off keel thus putting themselves at a disadvantage. Despite this, the “cagey old veteran” of Justus “Bumsee” Connor tried to tilt the scales through no none sense approach but it was to no avail. Injured outside hitter Calvin Samuel could only watch in disbelief as his much beloved “Takers” could muster no resistance to the force known as Uprising.
