The Youth EXPOSURE Clients’ Employability Training was successfully conducted at the West End Community Development Centre (WECDC) on Tuesday 4th June 2019 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The training was facilitated by the Coaches of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation from the United Kingdom who are currently on the island conducting a series of workshops on developing life skills which will assist our young people in becoming more employable.

The training covered developing a Curriculum Vitae (CV), the job application process, personal branding, presentation and interview skills. Young individuals seeking fulltime employment were also taught how to prepare for an interview – through practice sessions using the ‘Start Method’. This, in turn, assisted them with developing their leadership and communication skills. All sessions were very interactive and clients were highly motivated and involved in hands-on activities.

For more information on the Youth EXPOSURE Programme, please contact the Department of Youth and Culture by emailing the Programme Officer – Youth Development, Mrs. Jocelyne Mills at Jocelyne.mills@gov.ai or by telephone (264) 498 3792 /497 0969. You can also visit our Facebook page at DYC Anguilla for constant updates on this programme.
