A well-rendered diverse programme of hymns and gospel singing, including one ‘ole time’ presentation, marked Choir Fest 2019 at the Mount Fortune Seventh-day Adventist Church on Tuesday evening, May 28.
Now in its tenth year, the event was organised as part of the 52nd Anniversary of the Anguilla Revolution and the Anguilla Day official celebrations. The opening prayer was delivered by Pastor Trent Berg, the resident SDA District Minister, and the programme was ably chaired by Mr. Sanford Richardson, Commissioner of Social Development and a staunch leader in the Anguilla Methodist Circuit. There were also introductory remarks by Mr. Clive Smith, Chairman of the Choir Fest Sub-Committee.
The singing groups and their presentations were: The Central Baptist Church Choir – Pray; Ebenezer Methodist Youth Choir –What shall we render to Jehovah; Hilltop Baptist Church Chorale – What a beautiful name it is; Mount Fortune SDA Praise Team – Yahweh; Anguilla Jubilee Choir, Male Chorus – Thy Word; Shekinah, a choir from the Church of God (Holiness) – Ole Time Days; St. Augustine’s Chorale – In Christ Alone; and the Mount Fortune SDA Church Advent Men’s Ensemble – Walk with me.
