It was a delightful event at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla when 19 outstanding employees were recognized and awarded for their outstanding service at the luxury property for the month of March 2019. They were nominated by their peers in the various departments where they work.
The lively event, on Friday, April 26, was hosted by the Resort Manager, Mr. Billy Ceuto, and the Assistant Manager of People & Culture (Human Resources), Ms. Marynka Ruan.
It was a time of celebration at the decorated Employee Cafeteria where the General Manager, Mr. José Adames, and the Director of People & Culture, Ms. Dorla Hodge, and other members of the Executive Committee, and many employees, were in attendance. In addition to a spread of refreshments, an atmosphere of excitement, applause, laughter and camaraderie pervaded the crowded space.
The awarded nominees were drawn from two areas of the resort: Front of the House and Heart of the House.
In the first group, from Front of the House, were: Claris Queely, Security Officer; Concierge employees Denyinabiud Heredia, Guest Experience Specialist; Monica Daniels and Angel Richardson, CORE Agents; Wilson Carter, Banquet Houseman (winner) and Petra Charles, Banquet Server; Shanira (Soya) Gumbs – Bartender at Bamboo Bar & Grill; Wilson Delinois Rogers, Residential Assistant, Guest Services; and Sherise Bryan Webster, Server Assistant, Coba Restaurant PM.
In the second group, from Heart of the House, were: Delano Gumbs (winner); Dyesha Hodge, Sylvester Payne and Vincia Hughes, Culinary & Pastry; Varlon Reid and Jamone Hodge, Pastry Chefs; Sandra Delinois, Laundry Attendant; Juana Taveras Abreu, House Keeping Supervisor; and Johanna Heredia, Guest Room Attendant; and Warren Clarke – Landscaping.
General Manager, Mr. Jose’Adames, joined the Resort Manager, Mr. Ceuto, in congratulating the nominees and award winners.
“It is an opportunity for us to be able to recognize our staff at this event on a monthly basis,” Mr. Adames commented. “It gives them the motivation to continue to be better, look after our guests, and it is a sense of pride for our people. When we recognize them they strive in what they do. We are very proud to continue to hold this as a traditional ceremony on a monthly basis.”
