Digicel Anguilla’s CEO Mrs. Kerchelle Jn Charles- Hodge and Regional CEO Mr. Jack Bourke presented Staff with individual and Team Awards at last week’s End of Financial Year awards ceremony held last Thursday, April 11th 2019.
This evening marked a moment of triumph for all team members who were nominated and awarded for their hard work. The event was about celebrating a year that brought everyone together, a year that despite the challenges the team continued to be steadfast through constant changes. That in itself demonstrated solidarity and defined unity.
There were four key awards presented:
The Employee of the Year Award for the employee that showed commitment, dedication in not only their area of work but beyond the call of duty. He/she has performed exceptionally well and maintained a high level of productivity throughout the year. The Award was presented to Mr. Fabrice Stevens of Business Solutions Department.
The DigiStar Award is for an employee who produced high quality of work over an extended period of time, a major or extraordinary achievement and/or extraordinary contribution requiring maximum effort that significantly impacted customer service and productivity that is not likely to repeat itself. This award was presented to Mr. Rhon Rogers, Digicel’s network manager.
The Team of the Year Award. This was for the team that showed a united front and worked together despite all odds. They have grown as a team to build on internal and external relationships and contribute to a group effort which has a significant impact on departmental goals. This award was presented to the Technical Department.
Remarkable Leader Award for an individual that has demonstrated great leadership for his/her team. It is an employee who showed encouragement and inspired his/her team to make a difference in the workplace environment. It’s a leader or potential mentor that has demonstrated outstanding service to other employees or visitors and has displayed workplace diversity. This award was presented to Mr. Rudy Webster, Head of Business, for Business Solutions Department.
Digicel’s CEO Mrs. Kerchelle Jn Charles –Hodge remarked, “These award winners have displayed our Digicel core values and it is with much appreciation that they were acknowledged for their contribution to the Anguilla business.”
The CEO in presenting the certificates to the Award winners emphasized the importance of team work and succession plans for individuals in the business and the responsibility is on each one to realize their full potential and utilize the resources that are available to them to develop their skills further and enhance their knowledge.
Additional team members received service awards, recognition awards and certificates. Nominations for these awards were submitted by the Digicel Team and assessed by the CEO & HR based on justifications with supporting success stories.
