Carrying on the momentum started in 2018, Taizdaze Charity continues to put its best foot forward to create solutions for the problems that Anguilla’s youth and the community at large are facing. The Charity recently organized a Kidtrepreneur Expo which was a great success. Participants and attendees bombarded social media platforms expressing their satisfaction with the young entrepreneurs and the caliber of the event.
Kidtrepreneur Expo is an event where young entrepreneurs (age 17 and under) were given the opportunity to pitch their businesses, sell their products and/or display their ideas & concepts and receive mentorship from some of the island’s most thriving entrepreneurs. An invitation was extended to the general public who came out in numbers and supported each station by offering encouraging words and purchasing items. Kidtrepreneur Expo was put on to motivate the youth to begin, continue and keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive considering the fact that it is a worthy field to explore.
The young entrepreneurs were:
Fidel and Fabian Lim-Brooks (Anguilla ROCKS x Yum In The Tum), Tia Phillip (SparkledByTee), Jemima “Jade” Carty (C-N-J’s Closet), Valdeesha Brooks (Deesha’s Treats), Candiesha Richards (Candie’s Arc de Cheveux), Akiarra Piña (Philocaly By Nina), Anna Lynch (Bayside Beads), Makaiah Hodge (Kaiah’s Designs), Bree Webster (B.O.W. Designs).

At the end of the event, the young entrepreneurs were awarded in different categories. Each young entrepreneur received a $50 capital investment courtesy Vita Malt Anguilla and 1 month of free advertising on www.taydrafahie.com. The winners were as follows – Most popular Kidtrepreneurs: Bree Webster (prize sponsored by RSRtistry) and Kaiah’s Designs (prize sponsored by Tayzdaze Apparel). Entrepreneurs’ Choice: Bree Webster (prize sponsored by Graphique Maddness) and Akiarra Pina (prize sponsored by Be-Dazzled by Roxx). Most popular Kidtrepreneur: Anna Lynch (prize sponsored by Be-Dazzled by Roxx). People’s choice: Tia Phillip (prize sponsored by Be-Dazzled by Roxx) and Best presentation C n J’s designs and AXA Rocks (prizes sponsored by Tayzdaze Apparel).
Taizdaze Charity hopes that this event was able to not only publicize the goods and services of our talented current kidtrepreneurs, but also sparked a flame in others who were merely thinking about starting their business. We will continue to encourage them to make the bold step. With that said, we strive to make this an annual event, with the intentions of making it bigger and better each year.
A hearty thank you to our generous sponsors and those who assisted with the execution of our first Kidtrepreneur Expo:
Vita Malt Anguilla, Education Department, RSRistry (Rena Ruan), Graphique Maddness (Shakeela Ritchie), O’leary Richardson, Kyle Hodge, Brittne Levon, Simone Gumbs, Gweneth Johnson, Yannick Leonard, Pamela Fahie, Kylon Hull, Vanessa Ruan, Luke Niles, Leonicia Richardson, Jewel Singh, Mikayja Carty, Shamicha Rey, Titanium Sounds, Winston Duncan, Be-Dazzled by Roxx (Roxanna Brooks).
