Five Anguillian journalists were honoured on Saturday night January 26, as part of the KOOL FM 103.3 Radio 19th birthday celebrations.
The Awardees Dinner presentation was held on the grounds of Kool FM Radio.
The Awardees were radio journalist Whaldama ‘Ras B’ Brooks (posthumously); radio and newspaper journalist, Nathaniel Hodge; newspaper and magazine editor and journalist George Hodge, veteran broadcaster and radio journalist, Keithstone Greaves; and Chief Information Officer, and news editor Joseph Hodge.
The dinner ceremony was chaired by retired Director of Sports and sports commentator, Alkins Rogers; and featured addresses by the present Director of Sports, Andre Collins; Dr Lindel Brookes, Senior Programme Officer Culture and Arts at the Department of Youth and Culture, Avon Carty; and manager Kool FM, Leroy ‘Brother Lee’ Richardson, among others.
During the dinner Ken and Phyllis Banks won a one-night stay at Spy Glass Villa, courtesy Sunset Homes.
The ceremony was attended by a wide cross section of the Anguillian community including the Honourable Chief Minister Victor Banks and several corporate sponsors.
