The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus Anguilla is paying tribute to Ms. Telica Mussington, a young Anguillian Engineering student at the UWI Mona Campus in Jamaica.
Telica, the daughter of Danny Mussington and Tomica Carty, is scheduled to complete her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in May next year.
Since her enrolment in 2016/2017, she has maintained an almost 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) and her outstanding performance has earned her academic awards for excellence every year. In Semester Two last year, she was presented with an Academic Commendation Award from the Faculty of Science and Technology for her performance in 2016/2017 and she ended the 2017/2018 academic year by claiming the award as the top performing student in Civil Engineering at her level.
In October 2018 Telica was inducted into the Engineering Honours Society for her achievements. This semester the Anguillian scholar is also scheduled to receive another Academic Commendation Award for her performance in 2017/2018.
The UWI Open Campus Anguilla, the local arm of the UWI, has congratulated Ms. Mussington on her achievements. “Telica has been quietly blazing trails at the UWI Mona and we are extremely proud of her accomplishments”, says Manager for the UWI Open Campus British Overseas Territories, Dr. Phyllis Fleming Banks. “We salute her and wish her continued success as she completes her studies”.
