Children in performance

The progressive Outreach Preschool is the first of the Early Childhood Education Centres in Anguilla to celebrate 2018 with an end of the year programme, bringing parents, children and teachers together in a big social event.
Held at the Teachers’ Resource Centre on Friday afternoon, November 30, some 200 persons from across the island were in attendance. They were welcomed by the Preschool’s Principal, Ms. Monicia Vanterpool, who, along with her staff and pupils, organized the event.

It was a well-delivered programme with high praise from parents for the children and teachers – and for the obviously hard work they put into the practice sessions.
The Outreach Preschool was established in October 2011 and, together with a play school, accounted for over ninety students. The student roll remained considerably progressive until September 2017 when Hurricane Irma completely destroyed the traditional building where the play school, for children up to eighteen months old, was located.

With only the preschool in operation, the student roll has dropped to over fifty. There are plans for rebuilding and the admission of more students when funds and material become available. At present funds are being raised and donations solicited towards that end.
