Wednesday December 11th 2018: The Valley, Anguilla: In its current Christmas Promotion, Digicel is giving customers an opportunity to walk away with $1000 in groceries weekly plus one lucky customer will win one year FREE groceries.

The exciting six-week promotion, is partnered by three leading local supermarkets: Best Buy, J.W. Proctors and Lake’s Market place where three finalists participate in the live Supermarket Sweep each week.

Customers qualify for a chance to enter and win by one of the following ways: topping up EC $30 or more; signing up for FTTH (Fibre to the home) service or post-paid plan; or activation of a prepaid LTE bundle.

The Supermarket Sweep promotion promises to be very exciting as winning customers will be given forty five seconds to sweep the supermarket for groceries totalling with the highest value. Customers are also asked a bonus question to gain extra points valued as cash towards groceries for the shopping spree.

Digicel’s first Supermarket sweep for the season commenced at J.W Proctor’s Supermarket on Tuesday , November 27th 2018 featuring lucky customers Vernette Reid who qualified by signing up for Fiber Broadband service, Frank Hodge-Carty who topped up $30 or more and Michael Gumbs who upgraded to a post-paid freedom plan.

Digicel’s second Supermarket sweep was featured at Lakes Market place on Tuesday , December 4th 2018 featuring lucky customers Kendisha Hall- Prentice who qualified by signing up for Fiber service, Mindini Salisbury who activated an LTE prepaid bundle and Andrew Minott who topped up EC $30 or more.

Both Super market sweeps were streamed LIVE on Digicel Anguilla’s Facebook at 2pm from JW Proctors and Lakes super market. Accompanied by the Digicel team and videography team Pink Mako.

All participants met at the supermarkets for the grand Super market sweep challenge, where they competed for the grand prize of EC $500 grocery shopping. At J.W Proctors Ms. Vernette Reid placed 1st taking home EC$500 in groceries, Mr. Frank Hodge-Carty placed 2nd winning EC $300 and 3rd place received EC $150 in groceries, Mr. Mitchel Gumbs.

At Lakes Market place Mrs. Kendisha Hall-Prentice placed 1st taking home EC$500 in groceries, Mr. Andrew Minott Carty placed 2nd winning EC $300 and 3rd place received EC $150 in groceries, Ms. Mindini Salisbury.

The Digicel team created an exciting scene by having a buzzer and whistle at the starting and finish line, giving customers trivia questions to earn more sweep time and cheering on the participants.

Upon completion of the sweep at J.W Proctors Ms. Vernette Reid was asked how she felt and stated, “I have now become a Digicel customer and I’m so thrilled to have already won! I am looking forward to a great season, Thank you Digicel!”

Mrs. Kendisha Hall-Prentice, the EC $500 super market sweep winner at Lakes Market place said; “I really was not expecting a phone call from Digicel about winning anything! This is the first time I’ve won something from Digicel and I must say the supermarket sweep was a fun experience!”

Senior Marketing Executive, Ms. Roxanne Webster stated; “At Digicel we are always looking at ways in which we can ‘wow’ our customers and with Digicel’s Supermarket Sweep, we have done just that. Earning credits in groceries this season seems to be quite pleasing to our customers and we are excited as we get closer to finding out who will be our 1 year FREE grocery winner!”
