Teachers with Mrs. Mariam Hodge (centre)

In a continuous effort to serve the West End community and fulfil its action plan, the Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School has honoured its oldest community member and centenarian, Mrs. Mariam Hodge, with a mini concert.
On Friday, 23rd November 2018, Mrs. Hodge was escorted to the school by her two sons, Winston Hodge and Oliver Hodge, where upon her entrance she was greeted with a warm welcome, from the entire school, through song, poetry and dance. Mrs. Hodge listened intently.

Her son, Winston Hodge, commended the teachers and students and expressed how heartwarming it was for the school to celebrate his mother’s life.
The Principal, staff and students of the AARPS are passionate about giving back and expressed their appreciation to the Hodge’s family for bringing their mother to the school to be honoured.
