Dear Mr. Editor:
REMEMBER THE RETIREES
I have a big issue with the Social Security money handlers. Every week Social Security is giving away money to this organization or that organization, to this person or that person (according to the newspapers), and this is only what we hear about. What about what we don’t hear about?
I want to say to the Social Security Board that the retirees/pensioners who receive Social Security benefits are suffering while the Board gives away their money. The older one gets the more medicine and medical attention one needs and the costs are going up daily – sometimes astronomically.
The retirees put their money into Social Security, and now while they suffer others are enjoying the benefits. This is not fair.
I now ask, when was the last time the Board gave a raise to the poor retirees? And, by the way, a cost of living allowance should be on the Board’s next agenda. It’s about time.
Board members, if you all don’t do something very soon to relieve the suffering of the poor retirees we are going to walk to the Chief Minister’s Office and demand that he fires all of you because you all are not fair to the people who invested their hard earned savings in the Social Security Fund.
Yours sincerely,
Mad as hell
