busThe Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACOCI) held its first ‘Business After Hours’ event for 2018 on Thursday, 8th November, at the Tea Box Lounge. The featured business and host of the evening was Anguilla Multifaceted Professional Security Services (AMPSS). Brief welcome remarks and an opening prayer were delivered by Karen Pina, an ACOCI staff member.

Anguilla Multifaceted Professional Security Services (AMPSS) was founded by President/CEO Mr. Hubert Hughes, a retired police officer with an extensive career in law enforcement. In his welcome address, Mr. Hughes highlighted his history in law enforcement both locally and abroad and his passion for security services. He also introduced the fellow members of his team which includes:
Mr. Clarence Gumbs – Director of Operations
Mr. Fabian Lewis – Technical Expert
Mr. Roland Richardson – Personal Assistant

AMPSS is security firm offering a comprehensive line of security and investigation services including sales, servicing and maintenance of fire extinguishers, private investigations, pre-employment background checks, security protection and fire prevention training to customers in its targeted market.

One of the key security products featured at the event was RFID Security Bags. Mr. Lewis delivered a short presentation on this advanced technology and the usefulness of these security bags for government and businesses. RFID Security Bags are tamper evident bags for transporting money and valuables. They offer maximum protection and numerous security features including a trackable RFID security chip. Tamper evident bags are ideal for many industries including law enforcement, retail and banking. Mr. Lewis concluded his presentation by stating that, “As the world shrinks in this technological age, companies will either grow with the advancement or die from obsoletion.”

Brief comments were also shared by Mr. Richardson who highlighted his recently completed training in Fire Extinguisher Maintenance, and his role for the evening which was the live demonstration and explanation of the use of the many security products which were displayed around the room. These included motion sensor lights, door stopper alarms, panic alarms, child locater and advanced alert systems and fire-resistant clothing. All products can be purchased from AMPSS headquarters.

Mr. Claudel Romney, owner of Villa Coyaba, shared a rousing customer testimonial of the business. He highlighted the professionalism of the security officers provided by AMPSS and the ‘above and beyond’ service provided by the management and administration team. He described the business as ‘reliable’, ‘customer focused’ and ‘visionary’. He also added that AMPSS has performed, and continues to perform, magnificently for its customers and has a bright future in advanced security services both locally and internationally.

In closing, Mr. Hubert Hughes encouraged members to take advantage of the products and services offered by AMPSS, and pledged his commitment to best serving the needs of his clients and customers. He further stated that it his intention to, ‘put Anguilla on the map when it comes to security services.’
On behalf of ACOCI, Ms. Pina thanked AMPSS for so ably hosting the event, the members of the Chamber for coming out and supporting the event and the Tea Box Lounge for catering. Members were invited to network and mingle for the remainder of the evening and enjoy the delicious appetizers provided by Tea Box Lounge.

The Anguilla Chamber of Commerce continues to offer valuable networking events and marketing opportunities for its members.
