The ruling Anguilla United Front concluded its Annual Party Convention at Dorak’s Place on Sunday November 4th 2018. The conference was attended by some 50 delegates and the activities included a feedback session on Government’s performance by the delegates and a report of the achievements over the three years.
The highlight of the convention was the election of new officers to serve on the Party Executive. The new officers are:
• Mrs. Cora Richardson Hodge – Deputy Political Leader
• Mr. Lockhart Hughes – Party Chairperson
• Mr. Othlyn Vanterpool – General Secretary
• Mr. Jose Vanterpool – Chairperson of the Youth Arm
• Mrs. Vonetta Connor – Chairperson of the Women’s Arm
These positions were critical to the lead up to the 2020 General Elections. Party leader and Chief Minister Mr. Victor F. Banks thanked the outgoing executive and had particular commendations for Mr. Fritz Smith who served as Party Chairperson over the last ten years and Mr. Evans M. Rogers who served as Deputy Political Leader. He welcomed the new executive and was particularly thrilled to have a female in Mrs Cora Richardson Hodge as Deputy Political Leader.
