Where competition is fierce and dependence is high the Anguilla Tourist Board must seek to transform the Anguilla Experience taking it Beyond Extraordinary.

This Marketing Meeting is not about business as usual; we cannot begin to compete globally doing business as usual; we have to take our game beyond ordinary and average into the Extraordinary. This meeting is not about representatives in the market being comfortable and making warmed up presentations; they have to be accountable and go beyond the limits of the Ordinary. It is about digging deeper; pushing harder beyond the boundaries and limitations of traditional myopic thinning; it is about being creative and innovative; it is about understanding, accepting and performing our individual roles to be able to take our Anguilla Experience into the Beyond Extraordinary. This Marketing Meeting is about commitment by all stakeholders to do their part in writing Anguilla’s success story – our public sector, our private sector and our host community.

The Anguilla Tourist Board has restructured to be able to assume its role and become relevant in times such as these. We have created an Experience Management Division and a Corporate Affairs Division in addition to a Marketing Division; we are committed to the role assigned to us but we need financing that keeps us in the game and gives us an opportunity to win. Every dream that we dream to take us Beyond Extraordinary will required financing along with creativity. We are all on this journey together. None of us is without responsibility; for none of us is without benefit.

As we embark on this journey into the Beyond Extraordinary, I want us to commit to the knowledge that while
“There are people
There are also Extraordinary People; and
Then there are Anguillians
We are Beyond Extraordinary!
Let us never forget this; let us never flinch from the demands placed on us as an exception people. Let us never forget that we are Proud, Strong and we are Free. We are Beyond Extraordinary accomplishing great exploits.
