The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Tuesday 24th July, 2018 at about 12:25pm responded to a report of a drowning off Prickley Pear.

Investigation into the matter revealed that 54 year old Vincent Liburd alias “Jungle” of West End was out to sea on a fishing trip when he fell overboard. The body of Mr. Liburd was later recovered and brought to the Sandy Ground Pier on board another boat that responded to the scene and assisted with the recovery of the decease from the water.

The matter remains under investigation and a Coroner’s Inquest has been ordered by the Coroner.
