The Anguilla National Trust has opened registration for its three exciting summer outdoor programmes: Adventure Anguilla, Where the Wild Things Are, and Outdoor Adventure Camp.
The Outdoor Adventure Camp is a four-day summer camp that will run from 17 through 20 July from 9 am through 1 pm. The programme is open to children between the ages of 8 and 11. Activities focus on Anguilla’s plant and birdlife as well as land and marine environments.
Adventure Anguilla is a three-day, two-night summer camp that will run from 24 through 26 July. Participants between the ages of 12 and 17 will set up camp on Prickly Pear East for the three days and will learn about Prickly Pear’s incredible biodiversity while also taking part in team-building activities.
Where The Wild Things Are is a four-day summer camp that will run from 21 through 24 August from 9.00am through 12 pm. The programme is open to children between the ages of 3 and 7. Programme activities include outdoor exploration as well as arts and crafts.
Registration cost for the Outdoor Adventure Camp and Where The Wild Things Are Camp is US$75 (EC$200) and includes water, juice, light snacks, and a one-year ANT Junior membership. Registration cost for Adventure Anguilla is US$100 (EC$265) and includes all meals and refreshments for the three days. As the ANT is trying to limit plastic waste, participants are asked to bring their own reusable water bottle.
As space is limited, parents and guardians interested in registering their children for any of the programmes are encouraged to contact the Anguilla National Trust at 497 5297 or 476 2170 or visit the ANT office located in The Valley next to the Dental Clinic. Registration forms for the Outdoor Adventure Camp and Adventure Anguilla must be completed and returned to the ANT by Friday 6 July 2018.
