The Honourable Chief Minister, Mr. Victor F. Banks and his team will leave for London on Thursday June 7th to attend the Annual Pre -Joint Ministerial Conference (Pre -JMC) scheduled to be held in London on the 12th June. On the June 14th, the team will also attend another JMC which deal specifically with Brexit and its impact on the territories. Travelling, with Chief Minister is Mr Fritz Smith, Government of Anguilla Sherpa and senior advisor to the Chief Minister. Mrs. Blondel Cluff, EU UK Representative and Special Advisor to the Chief Minister and her staff will join the team at the JMC. Chief Minister Banks has also invited Mr Jose Vanterpool to join the team for some of the meetings.
On Friday evening Chief Minister Banks and team will attend and participate in the Annual Anguilla Day Dinner and dance hosted by the Anguilla Community Group in Slough. Chief Minster Banks will travel to Birmingham on Saturday June 9th for a town hall meeting with the Anguillian community there and On Sunday June 10th, he will attend the Annual Anguilla Day Fun day in Slough to be followed by a Town Hall meeting with the Anguillian Community.
During the week of June 11 -14th, the Chief Minister and team in addition to attending the schedule JMCs will have bilateral meetings with the FCO and DfID Ministers. Included are meetings with Lord Ahmad, Minister for the Overseas Territories and the Minister of Health.
The Chief Minister and Mr Smith return to Anguilla on June 15th.
