The considerably-renovated Old Boys’ School in The Valley, now serving as the nearby St. Mary’s Church Hall, was the venue for a two-day Visual Arts workshop for a number of teachers.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Reynold Ramlogan on behalf of the Caribbean Examination Council. “I am here on behalf of CXC and we are doing a training workshop pertaining to SBA Moderation for Visual Arts,” he told The Anguillian on Tuesday, May 8, the second day of the workshop.

“CXC is in the process of implementing a new mode of marking and moderating of SBAs in Visual Arts. It is the on-sight mode and it entails teachers or moderators visiting schools to do the moderation exercise. This is opposed to the mode we had before where the work was moderated at a centre.”
Students from the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School recently submitted their SBAs in Visual Arts for marking. Some of their work was on display at the workshop.
