As a major part of the Official Funeral for the late Sir Emile Gumbs, arrangements were made on Wednesday, May 23, by the Government of Anguilla, through the Ministry of Home Affairs, for an island-wide motorcade on that day.

Scores of schoolchildren lined the route of the motorcade, near their schools, waving flags and singing national songs as the Two Sons Funeral Home Hearse, carrying Sir Emile’s body, and other vehicles with his family members and members of the Royal Anguilla Police Force, drove by.
