The philanthropic East End Community Club held its annual gospel fund-raiser concert entitled “Youth in Concert 2” on Saturday, 24th March, 2018 at the St. Augustine’s Anglican Church.
The proceeds from this fund-raiser were donated to the Pupil Referral Unit an educational campus of the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School.
This campus provides “at risk” students, from first to third form with varying emotional and/or behavioural challenges, the opportunity to continue their education.
On 25th April, 2018, Ms. Marcia Hodge, Co-ordinator of the Pupil Referral Unit, was presented with a cheque in the amount of EC$2000.00 by Mr. Owen Mussington, President of the Club.
Organizer of the fund-raiser, Ms. Stacie Ruan, expressed thanks to the St. Augustine’s Anglican Church; Ms. Sandra Liddie-Gumbs the Mistress of Ceremony; the ticket sales persons, supporters and our loyal participants.
The Club looks forward to assisting with the educational and medical needs throughout our island annually.
