God was certainly honoured by the number of children (members of Good News Clubs) in their school uniforms, who came to celebrate with teachers graduating with certificates in Teaching Children Effectively a 33 hour course) and Teaching little Kids (a 30 hour course). These were two courses offered by Child Evangelism Fellowship through its Children’s Ministries Institute.
These teacher hailed from ten churches in Anguilla (Church of God of Prophecy, The Methodist Circuit, Word of Life Ministry, Bethany Gospel Hall, Central Baptist Church, Dominion Faith Center, Church of God Holiness, New Covenant Ministries and Faith Baptist church as well as one from St. Martin, Bible Baptist Church.
What a wonderful programme it was and what tremendous support from the church communities on Sunday 8th April in the afternoon at Church of God Holiness. The Theme of the graduation was ‘GO’ based on the scripture Matthew 28:16-20.
The graduants were challenged by the Keynote speaker, Pastor Phillip Gumbs to go and apply all that they have learned and now serve the boys and girls; recognizing that some of them come needing not only to experience the love of God but first the love and care of human beings who demonstrate through their lives the true love of God. They were also exhorted through song by Jemima Romney that “I can’t give up now”.
Child Evangelism Fellowship of Anguilla is here to partner with churches to train, equip and support them to reach Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day”. CEF thanks all who were in attendance and took part.
