As a lead-up to the 2018 UWI Alumni Awards slated for 28th April, local Alumni, Staff and Students of the University of the West Indies were treated to a rare evening of sharing with Alumna, Mrs. Dulcie Richardson. During the Association’s “UWI Vibez” social evening on 24th February, Teacher Dulcie recalled some of her experiences as a student at the Mona Campus between 1962 and 1965. The social evening was the second social gathering staged by the Association in an effort to encourage Alumni, friends and family, to interact and reminisce in a relaxed atmosphere.

The 2018 UWI Alumni Awards is part of the activities marking the 70th Anniversary celebrations of the University. The Alumni Association is collaborating with the UWI Open Campus Anguilla to honour the first seven (7) Anguillian graduates of the University in recognition of this milestone. Accordingly, they are encouraging Alumni or persons with information about local graduates of the UWI to contact the UWI Open Campus Anguilla at 264-497-8156, email anguilla@open.uwi.edu or via Facebook.

The Association is also appealing to UWI Alumni from all four campuses (Mona, St. Augustine, Cave Hill and the Open Campus), who are either from Anguilla or resident on Anguilla, to register with the Association as they seek to honour their alma mater in their contributions to the development of the society.
