Saturday March 17th was a very special day for the Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation. In partnership with Morlens Veterinary Clinic and the students of the St James School of Medicine’s AMSA Chapter (American Medical Student Association) over 80 dogs, cats and puppies were given free veterinary exams, deworming and vaccinations, as well as flea and tick baths!
The students of the St James School of Medicine did most of the dog/puppy /cat baths assisted by AARF volunteers. The students led by Mary Klueh president of AMSA also presented a $200 donation to AARF from other fundraising projects they have completed on the island.

Veterinary care was provided by Dr Niquet Goldson (right) of Morlens assisted by office manager, Rhaine Gumbs. This was the 4th vaccination clinic in the past two years and sponsored by a donation from the Besson – Cooper Fund of the US. The donors, Becky and Stuart have a home here in Anguilla. AARF is extremely grateful for their continued support which makes it possible for AARF to improve the lives of our companion animals here in Anguilla.

One passerby described it best: “When we drove by the medical school on Saturday I was grinning like crazy. What a spectacular sight to see – everyone out there and those pups happy with thousands of tail wags”.
AARF is grateful for the support of all that made this event a huge success including our donors, our advertisers, Morlens Veterinary Clinic, AARF volunteers, the AMSA medical students and the
pet owners who attended.
