JOB LINK-UP PROGRAMME PREPARATORY WORKSHOP

The preparatory workshop for the 2018 cohort of Job Link-Up clients was held from Monday 12th – Thursday 15th February 2018. The workshop was facilitated by the Department of Youth & Culture in the Ministry of Social Development, in collaboration with the Anguilla Community College. Areas covered in the four-day training included:

? Positive Attitudes & Behaviour at Work
? Solving Work-Related Problems
? Working in a Team
? Preparing for Work Placements
? Developing Personal Presentation Skills for the Workplace
? Self-Management Skills, and
? Introduction to Health & Safety

At the end of the workshop, twenty of the twenty-five registered Job Link-Up clients had been exposed to the training. All those who completed the workshop received certificates of participation.

The Job Link-Up Programme aims to assist vulnerable youth in Anguilla by providing them with opportunities for continuing education, acquisition of life skills through its apprentice component and psychological support and counseling. The Department of Youth and Culture congratulates all the young clients who completed the training and wishes them all the best as they begin their journey into the world of work.
