Out of a bad situation where the main Lanville Harrigan pavilion was seriously damaged by Hurricane Irma, and has now been demolished, there is some good coming to the James Ronald Webster Park.
With the demolition of the pavilion, comes an opportunity to build a better structure not only for viewers, but for additional office space and radio broadcast facilities which were previously provided on a limited scale. Among the usages of the former pavilion, was accommodation for the Anguilla Commonwealth Games Association.
The pavilion was named after Mr. Lanville Harrigan of Island Harbour as a tribute to his outstanding performance as a representative of Anguilla in regional cricket.
Funds are being sought by the Ministry and Department of Sport not only for the rebuilding of the pavilion, but for the overall improvement of facilities and services at the James Ronald Webster Park.
